Q: How can I best prepare my business for the holidays?

A: The holiday season consistently shows an increase in personal services and gift giving, so it’s smart to have a plan! Start now! Create signage and communicate with guests during scheduling. This is the time to prep the skin for holiday events and travel.

Now is the time to get 2-3 wax appointments to have the best results for holiday travel. Do the brows need to be groomed or do we need them to grow? Now is the time to schedule brow and lash tints, lash perming, brow lamination etc. Also, the fall/winter is peel season. This is the time to promote a series of treatments, peels, microcurrent, LED etc. The client should plan to come in once a week for 4-6 weeks. You can offer a package that includes home care products with a compatible service to promote GLOWING holiday skin.

Peppermint foot soak, naughty or nice bikini wax and the Champagne facial are common menu items with a holiday twist. Clients love a seasonal special! I like to watch what the BIG Retailers are doing and adjust their ideas/deals to my business. Gift cards are a must! An example of a gift card promo is, “Purchase $100 gift card and receive a complimentary spa candle.”

Label your travel sizes as “stocking stuffers,” create spa gift packages in multiple price ranges.Ask clients if they have any gift giving needs you can help with. Clients, employees, family and friends all love spa goodies. Offer to create and wrap personalized gifts in their price range. Holidays are a great way to improve your profits while spreading holiday cheer! Take the time to plan Q4 2024 now!
